The first introductory meeting of the SPACAR project partners

During the 26th and 27th November 2019, there was held the first introductory partners meeting of project „Contemporary Approach to the Development of Spatial Comprehension through Augmented Reality Content“ SPACAR at ARKANGELO Convention and Art Center, in Vilnius.

Project Coordinator Ivaras Giniotis presented SPACAR project partners, project objectives and activities. The meeting was attended by partners from five European Union countries - Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Spain, Germany:

  • P2. RĪGAS TEHNISKĀ UNIVERSITĀTE (Latvia);
  • P3. Warsaw Technical University (Poland);
  • P4. Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain);
  • P5. Šiauliai vocational education and training centre (Lithuania);
  • P6. SNEAKYBOX (Lithuania) Information technology company;
  • P7. Jugendförderverein (Germany);
  • P8. DECROLY Centro Homologado de Formacion profesional (Spain).

Each project partner briefly introduced the organization they represent. The activities for which each partner is responsible are presented.

On the first day of the meeting there was a public lecture on “Applying Augmented Reality in Education”. Lecturers: Professor Habil. dr. Manuel Contero (Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain), Assist. Prof. Dr. Zoja Veide, lecturer Veronika Stroževa (Riga Technical University, Latvia).

The meeting presented the guidelines for the quality assurance plan, the key quality factors for each stage of the project, the ways to assess them, the potential risks, their causes, sources and risk management tools. Project coordinator Ivaras Giniotis talked about the development of the SPACAR project web site, the technical problems and the possibilities to solve them.

On the second day of the meeting, Dr. Zoja Veide presented needs analysis questionnaires for different groups of respondents: students, teachers, employers. Discussions were held on the formulation of some questions and the number of respondents in each partner country. During the meeting, scientists expressed their wishes and needs to a representative of SNEAKYBOX.

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the former St. Archangel Michael Bernardine Monastery was organised for project partners.
