The Lithuanian Society for Engineering Graphics and Geometry an independent, non-governmental, apolitical, scientific, professional, non-profit organization that unites Lithuanian engineering graphics and other specialization field professionals who work in the area of engineering graphics, science or education in Lithuania. LSEGG was founded on March 25th, 2006 in Kaunas.
The purpose and the object of activity
LSEGG aims to consolidate the efforts of the scientists and specialists working in the field of engineering graphics by making scientific research in Engineering graphics, applying its results in practice, improving the engineering graphics (graphic subjects) education content and teaching methods, taking into account the possibilities offered by modern information technologies and changes in standardization.
To help protect the professional rights and interests of LSEGG members in state and public institutions and organizations.
To organize scientific-methodological conferences. To promote co-operation of engineering graphics specialists and to develop guidelines for improving the education methodology of graphic technology.
To publish scientific, practical, informational and methodological publications. To study the development of engineering graphics education in Lithuanian higher education and special schools, to have a permanently functioning web site on the Internet.
To stimulate the collaboration and relations of graphic technology professionals with the professionals working in other fields and designing institutions.
To participate in the activities of the Lithuanian Standardization Department, analysing and drafting standards for technical graphical documents, implementing the latest European and international standards in educational institutions.
